I admit it: Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite stories/movies, and so I'm glad I was able to pick this up for my niece as a Christmas present. I hope it brings her as much joy and wonder as it has me over the years.

I loved this so much. It’s no surprise that I love beauty and the beast and Cinderella. I might just read this again someday. The newer movie to this is soooo good. I am obsessed with the fashion and story.

My most favorite Disney princess story. Loved watching the movie again - this time with my son and then reading this small book.

I loved all these Disney books when I was a little kid and today I woke up and said to myself why not reread them! I will always stand by my opinion that you're never too old for kid's books!
It's actually funny watching how my mind changes throughout the years by reading the same book. For example instead of thinking about the love aspect of the story I wondered how could the horse come back to the place which frightened him so much. I know there is a lot of magic in the story, but please… this is impossible!
The Stockholm syndrome part of the story might be a bit disturbing but otherwise it wouldn't be much of a story, would it?

Disney's Beauty and the Beast by Teddy Slater – Well it’s a classic! I read this little golden book almost as many times as I watched my VHS copy of the movie! Happy Reading!

I read the Bahasa version. This story taught me so many things and probably one of my favourite Disney story.

Lesson number one: Never ignore or underestimate beggars because they either witches that'll turn your pretty face and hair into horns and full of fur or a billionaire doing a social experiment to see if you care about beggars.

Lesson number two: Don't marry a person because of their looks. Gaston is sure incredibly charming and muscular but he was a bad boy and my girl Bella doesn't deserve a bad boy. He only love Bella for her looks and God knows what he will do when they get old. And, he looks for Bella's weakness and makes it a weapon to win her heart, act insolent to her father, and huft, I hate guys that has no manners at all.

Lesson number three: Don't be afraid of beast. Spread some good deeds and you yourself will reap the goodness. Bella helped the conceited, arrogant prince to be a better person and to be honest, that's very brave. Every person has their own beauty whether from outside or within them. Don't be afraid of beasts because they could be a cursed prince, you never know.

This story is enchanting.

I am a huge fan of Beauty and the Beast and enjoy rereading various books that Disney publishes for it and this one from Golden Books made me a very happy camper. I don't care if you are 2 or 100+, if you enjoy a book then enjoy that book even if it is below your 'reading level'. Sometimes you just need something short and sweet.

The illustrations are true to the designs of the movie for the most part and help retell the story and make great drawing reference for Belle and Beast.
