Had to read this because I was curious as to how the author would make the Mothman erotic—highest praise I can give is that it was...interesting!
The author did do some world-building and background on politics that I'm assuming will be used later in the series because it was irrelevant and went nowhere in this book.

Kind of boring, no plot essentially, and the smut wasn't quite good enough to overcome that fact.

Sweet Berries is book two in the Cambric Creek series, written by C.M. Nascosta. I loved the first book in the series, and I have no idea why it took me so long to snag this one. I decided to go the audiobook route to listen while working.

Dear sweet Grace is an event planner who lives in the mixed species community of Cambric Creek. After a light night at a local bar, she decides to have a self-love sess with her window wide open. What could possibly happen?! Um, only the best possible things with a Mothman is concerned. Drawn in by her act of exhibitionism and her delightful scent, he could not help but indulge.  Why have I not read a monster romance in so long?! Clearly, I was missing out!

Oh dear, sweet, nerdy Merrick. I would like to order one of these, please! Merrick, the mothman, is a scientist and has a geeky side to him. He is so flippin adorable. He also has himself a bit of a human boob fetish… among other things. I adored Grace and Merrick together. It was sweet and super spicy! I couldn’t get enough!

Eva Caine did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and making me love them that much more!

I loved it!!

Sweet Berries was such a sweet romance. I thought the slow burn would annoy me but it’s not so much a slow burn as it is a simmering buildup. And the pay off is worth it.

If you’re looking for a simmering sexy sweet live story, this is it.
