Cronin’s chapter book is a refreshingly silly story, appropriately and plentifully illustrated with silly art by Cornell.

I never read this as a kid and I'm sorry I didn't. It's delightful! Funny and clever, but nothing age-inappropriate. The characters are great and the mystery is surprisingly well-thought-out. I got this for my nephew but I might buy more just so I can read the next silly mystery adventure!
