I especially loved how whenever Malcolm tried to tell Elle how she should be feeling or reacting, she pushed him back on his arse-- and he acknowledged he was in the wrong. It's a hard thing to buy into a romance between two people under such a power differential, but Cole handles it beautifully.

I wish I could give this book 10,000 stars for how amazing it is! One of my favorite books growing up was Ann Rinaldi's "Girl in Blue", and I've always been interested in wartime female spies as well as American history, and Alyssa Cole is one of my favorite romance novelists. This book, therefore, was over far too soon for me and I'm eager to get my hands on "A Hope Divided" ASAP.
