This book is an amazing conclusion to the trilogy. With old characters and new, we get to see the depth of all of them. The plot twisted and turned and kept me guessing and every new revelation was exciting. Every new glimpse at an old character was especially great. I loved the entire trilogy and wish there were more!

Please excuse me while I cry a river of tears over how much I love these characters and wish there were more stories about Mal and Alex being happy together as the platonic life partners they are.

This series is an extremely enjoyable read! Loved the take on superheroes and the liveliness of the characters. Full of a lot of original ideas and fresh twists on old favorites.

An excellent finish to the series, we pick up some years after the heart-wrenching ending of the second book. Grief seeps through the narrative, but this is also a story about legacy, and what we do after our loved ones are gone. Conflating harsh reality with fantasy. It's a complex look at the denial that comes with grief, and the long road to acceptance.

This book hurt me, but the bittersweet yet hopeful ending offers a welcome closure to the series.
