Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in return for my honest review.

Wow wow wow. This caught and kept my attention throughout the book. Definitely not a rom com type romance may not be for everyone but I really enjoyed it and the theme of loving yourself and love is love was awesome.

✅ Best friends brother
✅ RH
✅ Polyamorous relationship
✅ Bit of a mystery
✅ found family
✅ nicknames for the FMC

All good things that kept it interesting. I do wish that we saw the couples interact more outside of the bedroom and wish there were bit more closure around the grandparents but overall I love all three of the main characters. I think my favorite is Len!

I loved the bonus scene! This made the book feel complete.

I really love that there was no third act breakup.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ would definitely recommend if you like the above themes!

Was hoping to love this one. Unfortunately, I had a lot of hangups with this book.

  • Their ages. 19 is so young for the level of kink that was involved in this book. Not that they wouldn’t know that that was something they were interested in at 19, but the level of competence portrayed by them was much older than they actually were.
  • I thought the pacing was very off. There was too much focus on the sex and not enough focus on character development and relationship development, especially Lennox.
  • What was the point of the Mom subplot if nothing was going to come of it? That was so incredibly frustrating!!
  • The same could be said for Auden‘s family finding out. It was made to be such a huge deal through the book and then it was never shown. We got a tiny glimpse of it in a bonus scene. A *bonus scene* is not part of the book. It means, when it is removed, it does not affect the book. And in that case, the book, as it was presented, was incomplete.
  • The kink in this book was absolutely not for me. It was such a major turn off to have Auden shove her on her knees and tell her to suck his cock. I am not a fan of degradation in any form. For me, that made the majority of this book cringeworthy. When I’m reading a book with sex in it, I generally like to enjoy the sex. That wasn’t the case with this book.
  • Third person POV did not work for me in this instance. It felt like a very odd choice, especially for new adult.
  • This narrator was not it. She spoke … in the … most … stilted … way.
  • Finally, I would have killed for a single normal name. I got them all confused, especially in third person, and especially in audio.

I loved this book I could absolutely not put it down. I think I've read it three times now and I still love it. This book was emotional, HOTTT, tender, and such a great read. I loved how sensitive moments between the main characters were treated as such and they each took the time to really make sure they were comfortable in the relationship. You really become entrenched with these characters and you cannot help but root for them. O'Neal came from such an intensely religious family she really had to find herself and it was fun to watch her come into herself. I was sad to see what her grand-parents did but I was go glad she had her adopted family to help her. You can always count on a good read when you pick up a Roni Loren book and Good Girl Fail is no different.

The narrator did a great job. Other than that this book wasn't for me. Not much character development. I couldn't stand hearing the word "kink" one more time. It made me cringe.
