Doesn't really feel like the show. Very chaotic, doesn't feel very well written. All women look stereotypically similar. Issue 4 was the best out of them, but a big step down from Fray and Tales of the Slayers and Vampires.

After reading up to halfway through season 9 of Buffy and having recently watched Angel, I was delighted to discover Angel season 6 to fill in the gaps I was obviously missing.
Season 5 ended appropriately, staying true to the main theme of the show (that "fighting the good fight" never really ends) but it was a let down in terms of plot resolution. Finding out what happens to everyone was what I cared about most going into this, and so far it has not been a let down at all.

I loved this. I liked it even better than the Buffy Season 8 graphic novels. If I can't have more show, this is definitely second best!

The stars are for the art. While it had its moments, both AFTER THE FALL: SPIKE and AFTER THE FALL: ANGEL negate female characters who were taken seriously in the original BUFFY and ANGEL television series. They are mostly in need of rescuing or evil bitches, and tend to wear bikinis either way. There's even a point at which Gunn, having encountered a group of sexually enslaved women, jokes that their death can be "erotic" if they play their cards right. Love this artist and love the dragon, but 0 stars for the writing.

And so I continue to dabble in the world of graphic novels...

As a huge Buffy and Angel fan, I've wanted to see how the story continued for years. But, I just couldn't wrap my head around switching from TV to comics - until now. I bit the bullet, picked up this volume, and now I'm hooked! Although I find some of the graphics to be simplified and lacking detail, the overall visuals and colours are stimulating. Some plot elements are are taking some getting used to, but Joss Whedon's involvement means I have complete faith that all will be understood eventually. And, some of the surprises and twists were superbly unpredictable. I find I am satisfied, overall, and suspect I have a full summer of Buffy & Angel (comics) ahead.

When the show ended, I was in shock, it ended with a cliffhanger, it was perfect but at the same time, it leaves you wanting more.
This comic book give others and me closure, is not the same still is something, we get to find out what happened to our favorite characters.
The story has many surprises. It does not take is time developing story lines like a TV show, it goes fast through them but still, until now I loved every revelation.
The dialogue is very much like the show, the characters feel the same as well, which is the most important thing to me.
The logic was hard to get sometimes, as well the decisions made by Angel. I'm lost in a few areas but I want more, I love this universe and this was a pleasure every moment.

Angel: After the Fall volume one wasn’t something I was ever going to read and for years I wasn’t even tempted to buy it but then I finally did.

I just didn’t like the plot. I gave extra half star just because I was glad to see so many characters from the show even if this comic pretty much ruined that awesome ending for me.

Also I want a dragon.

I didn’t like the art. I wasn’t sure at first if Wesoey was him or Giles and let’s not even mention how Illyria looks like. Angel looked pretty good though.
