From snowed in escapes to sunny getaways, every story within this anthology is brand new and from some of MY favorite authors!

Here is a brief review of what's inside this smartie romcom:

Not Just a Crush by Helena Hunting
Old high school crushes rekindle during a snowstorm. With Helena's sense of humor and spice, this story is the perfect length to read before bed and offers the perfect amount of steam, content and quirk to make it a reading perfection!

There is Also a Dog by Kayley Loring
Jillian hates Christmas so working through it wouldn't be a problem except when she has to vacate her apartment and isn't allowed to actually work in her office. Escaping to an Airbnb happens to be the solution, she just needs working WiFi and all the amenities. The fact that it was rented from a hot guy with the cutest dog ever who lives just a mile down the road is a nice touch, especially when she needs extra amenities.

Attracting Aubrey by Avery Flynn
Aubrey is on a cruise with her best friends when she meets her crush, Carter Hayes. What could possibly go wrong? In this story, Avery Flynn delivers comedy, steam, and romance while sailing upon the ocean waves. Attracting Aubrey is a flaming hot read with lots of laughs, instant chemistry, improv, and smexy good times.

Smartasses is a sexy nerd romance anthology. It features some authors that are new to me, some that I would love to read but never found the time, and some are my fave go-to. Since there are a lot to read here that I'm pretty sure would put that big smile on your face and make you giggle like crazy, here are some of my reviews

Attracting Aubrey by Avery Flynn - 3.75 stars
This is a funny, sexy, secret identity/ undercover romance. I'd love this to be much longer because of the sweet premise of their love story. Overall, loved it.

Not Just a Crush by Helena Hunting - 3.5 stars
This is a secret, high school crush, small town romance. I love the start of this book. Imagine being snowed in with your hot high school crush who is now a sexy, mountain man in the flesh? Yep, sign me the fuck up. The steam is just perfect although my problem is that this book is way too short and I want more.

Things Liars Fake by Sara Ney - 3.75 stars
This is a fake boyfriend/ girlfriend romance and I kind of digging the story. This is another one of the novellas that I would have like to be a full length novel because I feel like there's much more to explore. Still, by far the one that has the perfect balance of fun, sexy and angst to me.

I love a good anthology. It’s always a pleasure when I get to read some of my favorite authors write short stories. They are these little perfect moments in time, that I can always go back to reread. So when I heard some of my favorite authors were joining together to write an anthology series about their favorite sexy nerds I was in 100%. Of course I had my favorites but all of the short stories were excellent! I recommend this to everybody, Especially people who want to get back into reading or start reading romance.

Thank you for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

As is typical with short story collections, this was a mixed bag. Not surprisingly, the weaker authors had much longer contributions than the stronger authors, which is always disappointing. I think romance authors don't do as well with the short story format. They have become used to the slow roll out, so while a story is less complex, it often ends without real resolution (only climax -- and yes I meant the double entendre).

The most disappointing part of this is that it was supposed to be a "Sexy Nerd Rom Com anthology" and many of the authors didn't really get the "nerd" part. Disappointing indeed.

Smartasses: A Sexy Nerd Rom Com Anthology was a collection featuring twelve short stories. Just about every romance trope was featured and there was plenty of spice to go around.

Some of my favorites:

"Not Just a Crush" by Helena Hunting- a woman arrived at a mountain cabin to spend a girls' weekend with her friends, but the weather had other plans.

"Central Park" by Jana Aston- a brand new nanny arrived at her first job to find out that the man she was supposed to work for had no children.

"The Runaway Bride" by Sonali Dev- a bride to be got cold feet the night before her wedding after overhearing that her fiancé met up with his ex.

"Close Encounters of the Nerd Kind" by Susannah Nix- a shy, nerdy tech CEO asked the waitress at the diner he frequents to be his fake girlfriend for a family function.

The stories were hit and miss for me. Some I really enjoyed, some were meh, and a couple I DNFed. I had not read a compilation of short stories in a very long time. I enjoyed being able to read a complete story and not "one more chapter" myself all night. The anthology allowed for easy breaks from reading and offered more stories ahead if I wanted to continue.

The author's I already read I enjoyed their stuff but not much of the others. The stories were there and Pash Rash had promise but ultimately I didn't love a few of the characters or the story itself was too slow.
