Overall, a satisfying ending to the story. I don't really consider Sloane redeemed, but I appreciate the journey his character went on throughout the story. I still don't find him likeable, though. It was an interesting choice to tell the story through his point of view, and I think the art style really complements that.
The First Born Council is definitely a kind of stand-in for the patriarchy and capitalism, though the story doesn't do anything I haven't seen before with this sort of comparison. I found that I enjoyed Dr. Phelps's story far more than Sloane's, and I liked how it ended on a hopeful note.
Overall, I was entertained, though I don't think this story did anything new in regards to the points it was trying to make or for vampire fiction. The art was my favorite part of the story. Seriously, the artwork, colors, and lettering were incredible!

I find myself much more interested in the doc's story than the vampire one. I'd love to see more of that world.
