THAT’S IT? I actually didn’t realize that this was the last volume until I read some of the reviews. The story felt so rushed and wrapped up too neatly. I wish the political and romantic plot lines were developed and expanded more; there was definitely enough to continue into a longer series. Poppy and Cyrenic are so cute together and I’m disappointed and sad that I don’t get to see more of their relationship.

I cannot believe that a year later and I have finally read this volume. If there was a way to inject a comic book into my bloodstream it would be this one. Though things did feel a bit rushed, I thoroughly enjoyed it for it's happy ending. Seeing Poppy and Cyrenic happy together and being free is everything I could have wanted for them. I'm sad their story is over but I'm glad that they get to live out their lives amongst hills and cypress trees.
