In my opinion, each book of this series (well, at least books 3 and 4) continues to improve.

We have Matt Frost in this one, trying to get his robot garden business more funds, and Merry (Meredith), who just opened a Christmas ornament shop. He owns the building, and she's behind on rent. And, of course, they end up on the Great Christmas Bake-Off.

There is a bit more steam in books 3 & 4 (which doesn't bother me at all), and there is always a bit of humor. Another solid 4-star read for me.

This story about Merrie and Matt was humorous, romantic, and absolutely contained all the holiday feels. The book has moments of steamy scenes and moments of sadness. I love how the author embraced the two characters from different worlds and combined them in a fabulous story that is an enjoyable read.

Merrie moved to Harrogate to live in a small town and make all her Christmas dreams come true. She opens her own ornament store, hoping to showcase her love of the holiday season.

Matt Frost, her landlord for the small shop, is like Ebenezer Scrooge; he is a billionaire who wants only money and doesn’t care about the holidays or her business.

Somehow he gets roped into competing in the great Christmas Bake Off. Between the bake-off and the elf job, this book has me laughing out loud how much more trouble can this poor woman get into. This book is comical as they fight their attraction to each other on everything.

This book gets steamy finally, and we see some changes in Matt as he starts to like Christmas. This book does end happily and has a grand gesture toward the end.

It felt like over halfway through when it finally picked up, but when it did it was good. Very small time hallmark Christmas, spicy parts. I felt like Matt was overly an asshat. Nothing spicy happened until over halfway in. But I loved the happy ending. I hated the ex fiancée. Cute storyline.

This wasn't my favorite. I was enjoying it but it was going to be a three star read... ended strong enough that I had to shift to four. I ended up loving both if these characters.

It was time to put away holiday books. I may continue this in Dec 2024.

Uhm hmm… well I chose this book based of the title and vibes and while it was fun to read it did fall short in answering a ton of questions. Biggest thing was inconsistency. The mother’s name changed from the beginning of the book to the end…
