Although I think Ryn and Lottie’s relationship sounds a bit toxic, and my favorite character was Couple on the Verge of a Breakup, this was a charming read. It was so easy to root for Ryn and Xander. Fast-paced read about grief and longing, with beautifully written flashbacks.

I don’t really want to say this book was cute, given it’s one major plot point, but it was. The story moves along at a decent pace, the relationships within it are genuine while being slightly cheesy. There’s a few things I could have happily omitted and not even thought twice about it afterwards but the rest of the book was good!
I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating it was to read the ENTIRE book without knowing the text message, and even when you think you’re going to get it you only get one line from it. It’s infuriating that Jessica Brody centers the entire book and it’s main characters entire arc over this one thing and she can’t even deliver the whole of it to her readers.

I love everything about this book. I love the stranded airport situation. The characters, the plot the pacing, it all just fits so perfectly into a beautiful story about moving through grief.

I really enjoyed this book. A snowstorm strands two individuals at an airport at difficult times in their life. They let go, learned from each other and dealt with their individual issues. I just really enjoyed this book I am happy I picked it up.

Very interesting plot and all, I just couldn’t get behind the romance. And that’s certainly a me problem nothing with the author or the book. I did like the plot just easing a fan of how it actually played out. Toxic friendship much?

Wanna hear something crazy? I ended up really enjoying this book. Such a nice surprise considering I expected to be bored by the “stranded in an airport” trope. I should have known the “grieving your dead best friend” plot would absolutely demolish me. Also main character’s name is Ryn? Yeah, I ate this up.

DNF at page 142. I kind of felt guilty not finishing this book but it was dragging along too much. There were some funny parts so I like that. I didn’t like how flat the characters felt and how nothing was really going on. I just read some other 1 star reviews and I’m glad I didn’t finish reading this book. YIKES.
