This book was a departure for me in terms of genre, and I'm glad I read it. At first I struggled to follow along the vampire lore but with the vocabulary given at the beginning, I started to get the hang of it. Once I realized that there were a variety of intertwined stories, I was hooked. I expected the book to be much gorier than it was. Overall, entertaining characters with an entertaining plot!
