I really loved this book and am so excited to read the sequel!! The characters were interesting and deep, and I enjoyed the complex nature of the situation everyone is in. I do feel as though some things developed very quickly and would have liked to see them explored more deeply, but that’s very minor!

right now, i’m still shocked on how beautiful this book is. i can’t form exact words on how much i loved it. all i can say is that it was absolute perfection.

reading this made me realize that i prefer sapphic romance more than heterosexual romance; and i am not mad about it.

the buildup was great, the world building was not too complicated, the characters are amazing (besides kinok and heros ofc). i cried a lot. sad and queer books are basically my favorite thing ever.

Hello, new favorite! I finally read this and am kicking myself for taking so long. I love the interactions between Crier and Ayla, and how they both soften. The Scyre is a mystery and I love all the intrigue! This book has enemies to lovers, revenge, plotting, and magic. What more do you need?
