Dense and strange, lovely but impenetrable. Resistant. Lacking narrative, it's pure sound and juxtaposition. Which is fine and well, except I want poems that slap me in the face with something. And while a few stray wisps, a line here or there haunted me, there was nothing that took hold. I suppose this is because we are, after all, narrative creatures. But those stray wisps are delicious. If you read it, give it the justice of reading it aloud. You can thank me later.
