Olayiwola is such a lovely person (got to see her read live a couple years ago) and speaks openly about all the intersectionality of being a queer black woman. My favorite poem in this book was "Unamed"

Very nice, very lovely. I didn't know what to say about the book as a while but then I saw my friend's name in the acknowledgements, so that's pretty cool!

i love the way black & queer people use metaphor. we'll turn anything into a metaphor and from that metaphor blooms poetry.

Wow. Powerful book. When I say everyone needs to read this, I mean it deeply. Read this, and really spend time with the poems. Some of my favorites are "The Joke", "My Mother", and "(Again)". "I Wish to Eat What My Partner Does Not and This Is How We Love" has to be one of the best concrete poems and best two-column poems ever written.

A privilege of mine to have a look into the life and vision of this poet.

My favorite pieces here are “Had My Parents...,” “Dyke Prepares to See Her Family,” “Tangled A.K.A....,” “Unnamed,” “Water,” and “Look What I’ve Done!”
