Wow, I love this book. Some of my favorite lines are
"They said the sisters were made of special brown skin and wonderful eyes, of big smiles and bigger hearts and-when it came to tennis- kind of magic."
This book demonstrates the power of families having an unwavering belief in one another, the power and importance of hardwork, and sisterhood.

I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this read on these amazing athletes. I felt like I learned a lot about these sisters’ trajectory and resilience. Def recommend it to anyone and everyone.

If there had been any back matter or additional information this would have definitely been five stars. The illustrations surprised me by how soft and inviting they were... almost dated in the style, but not quite. The story is simple and charming: two sisters who competed against and with each other, a dad who believed in them beyond all reason, and a sense that with enough talent and determination one can indeed do anything.
The Williams sisters are inspiring without doubt.
