This book follows an investigation into a serial killer who is murdering his victims after sending them a little white book. I felt that this book had an original storyline, and I couldn’t guess how the book was going to play out at times! However, the book did seem far-fetched and very drawn out which mean it lost its appeal for me.
There was a lot of characters within the book and I thought that some of them didn’t actually add anything to the story! I really did not see the need for some chapters to be told by the sister of one of the characters, Charlie. I thought I must have been missing something but I think it was just a thread that was not needed!
When I started reading this, I had high hopes but these dwindled the further I got into the book! I give this book three out of five stars.

I'm torn. Either this is a brilliant, ingenious plot with the usual twist or it is a complete load of convoluted rubbish. The subplot with Liv and Gibbs seemed promising, but I'm cynical about the big reveal - there's no way it is what it appears to be.
(As an aside, from my experience doing the same work Billie did, I'm not 100% convinced that Billie would have known everything necessary about the victims. It simply doesn't seem realistic to me.)

I've read a lot of Sophie Hannah's books and have found they get more and more outlandish but this one is just unbelievable,I'm incredulous that anyone can go along with this utterly ludicrous plot and totally neurotic set of characters with ridiculous idiosyncrasies.

So ludicrous it is laughable...
It is certainly the most insane reason I've ever read for killing 5 people!

I’m sorry but I don’t have anything good to say about this book, so I’ll keep it brief.
The writing style was a mix of methods, letters, a book inside a book and normal dialogue... it was confusing and hard to follow. The storyline was slow and boring.
I felt absolutely no connection whatsoever to the characters. The main character was a female comedian, who wasn’t even as funny as the ridiculous twist/ending that this book has.
Unfortunately, I will not be recommend this book to anyone.

Awful absolutely appalling I am sorry but I just couldn't get into the story at all, I also hated all the characters and the main one too though the killer seemed great as it was killing certain people that I couldn't care less for (For a novel that's bad). So yeah will not be following this author or even read her books. If this offends you whoever reads this, this is my opinion of the book and you are entitled to yours so please no getting at me.
