The short story started with Kissing can ruin lives. Lips touch, sometimes teeth clash. then came: The story begins in Hell.
Intrigued. Intrigued is the word why I continued reading Lips Touch: Three Times even if the first story disappointed me. I always have the affinity for curses and the hell dimension so I carried on, hoping to be entertained and Spicy Little Curses delivered!
Note: Rating as a standalone for Lips Touch: Three Times

Miracles and curses.
A beautiful and interesting short story about a curse and a girl who falls in love.

It's Magnificent actually. I can feel those pages printed on my mind widening my imagination and making me more interested in demons.

I found Lips Touch at a crazy cheap price and jumped on the short story collection, desperate to get my fill of Laini Taylor’s beautiful work. Spicy Little Curses is the second short story of the three in the collection, and another beautiful read.
As you would expect from Laini Taylor, even though it’s a short story, we’re quickly thrown into some wonderful world building with her lyrical prose bringing her amazing imagination to life in no time at all. I’d been fearful we would not get the full works because it is such a short story but I couldn’t have been any further from the truth. So much happens in so few pages. We’re given an entire story, we’re given characters we can love, we’re given mythology (there is so much in this one that I don’t understand how she managed to fit it all into such a short story), we’re given emotion – in short, we’re given it all.
As with the other short stories by the author, it’s a wonderful read.

It was ok.
The prose was not just purple, it was cute but not very novel or intriguing.
The characters were quite one-dimensional and often times not believeable but jumpy in their dispositions to suit the story.
The plot itself was mainly dissappointing in its predictability.
