I don't really know how to rate this because it's such an odd collection. I've read the comic versions of Avengers Assemble before and this is strange, even compared to that.

Marvel came up with Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, an animated show that was quite close to the 616 origins of the Avengers. The animation style left a lot to be desired, but story wise, it was very solid. Then it was cancelled and replaced with the more popular Avengers Aseemble: which had a better art style, better voice acting, but the story left a lot to be desired.

First off, no Janet van Dyne in AA. Natasha was the only female character for a while and she didn't even have a lot of screen time. They made Sam into a teenager who was Tony's intern, of sorts, which was just an odd choice. The show was a lot funnier, but in a lot of ways, it was a rehashing of similar concepts from the MCU.

This collection is called Civil War, despite not even collected the Avengers Assemble Civil War storyline. There's random stories from the EMH series with Black Panther. It collects later issues of Avengers Assemble and then randomly includes what looked like Sam's first issue towards the end. It was just baffling.

Anyway, the jokes are the kind of jokes you'd expect in a series targeting kids. Not a recommend for how all over the place this collection was. I couldn't even recommend it for fans of the AA cartoon.
