I absolutely devoured this book, I couldn't get enough. It was fun, hilarious, and enthralling. The characters were so easy to like, and I loved the mystery thrown in. Looking forward to more of the Bodines and their crazy antics in book two.

I'm working my way through LS's complete book list, and this is the start of a new series.

I like this one right from the start. The Bodines are a hilarious family, and I'm pretty sure I know several like them in some of the small towns I've been in. They all play a pretty big role in this book, so I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Scarlett is the firecracker FMC of this one, and I think she's hilarious. Devlin is a political figure/lawyer who is trying to get away for a "mental health break" and ends up right next door in his grandma's house. Their story is a fun one.

There are plenty of laughs and some suspense that I hope we see some resolution to in the upcoming books. The characters are all so different, yet so fun. I look forward to the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed the book. My only issue was the continuous calling a singular person “y’all.” I just don’t think that’s a thing. I’m from the south and I’ve never heard this ever in my life. It was just so weird to read over and over.

This book grabbed a hold of me and next thing I knew I was on the last one in the series. Scar and Devlin are the perfect beginning story for this series.
