Fun, popcorn mystery suspense. It is one of those "oh no I'm marrying into a super rich family and they have secrets and may also be trying to kill me? Should I burn it all down?" That genre is amazing and I will watch all movies like this (see Ready or Not) and read the books. This hit all the notes I wanted. A fun time and I completed it on one flight. Just what I needed.

-Didn't immediately guess the major twist
-Weird rich family traditions
-Just the right amount of spooky
-Moved at a good clip
-Really committed to and delivered on the main character's tragic backstory

Didn't like:
-Flat characterization
-I'm personally tired of (spoiler) pregnancy as a major plot point
-Epilogue was not super satisfying

Boring. With the exception of the Krampus part. It’s the only reason it gets 3 ⭐️s.

The story is confusing and messy and not fully fleshed out.
