The more I think about this the more I appreciate things about it but I really just found it obnoxiously middle class

The lack of chapters makes it hard to dip in and out of- leave time to devour it in a weekend!

I'm not sure what I expected with this book, but I'm pretty sure this was not it. A strange book, and one that I found difficult to access at times only to then be blindsided by a line written so beautifully it hooked me right back in. I'm glad I read it, but I'm not sure how much I'll remember it.

dnf @ 25% — tried so hard to like this because i loved “autumn” by ali smith, but this just isn’t for me. the writing kept tiring me, i felt like i had to work to piece any sort of plot/context together, and not in a good way.
