Another cute paranormal romance. I liked Janie. She is kick butt at least. Quinn on the other hand, is a wuss. But so is Barkley.
I didn't figure out who the boss was. It was so obvious too. Doh! Although I knew what Quinn's plan was to get rid of him. That was even more obvious. ;)

This is the third book in the Immortality Bites book but it moves the focus away from the main character of the first two books. And I liked this one better than the first two books .... so there you go.

Still think the books are appropriate for teenagers to read - but that doesn't make them bad. Just lacking in the Sizzle Arena. And where as I felt the lack of the sizzle in the first two books - the story in this one and the character interaction in this one was so much better that I did not miss it. Looking forward to the 4th!

I go back and forth on this series. On the one hand, the plots seem overly simplistic, and some of the author's writing ticks drive me nuts (does EVERYONE have to have a trickle of sweat down their backs when they're stressed?), but I keep reading. And sometimes I can't put it down. So there's something here worth coming back to :)
This story took a slight detour and focused on Quinn & Barkley, and Janie and Lenny from the previous book. Quinn hits the road for Arizona to bring Barkley back to his pack, but, as one would expect, nothing is straightforward from there.
Cute, if silly, story, and a nice bit of romance. Onward to book 4...

I wasn't sure I'd like this installment of the series once I found out it was going to be about Quinn, a character who mostly annoyed me in the first two books, but it turned out to be an okay story. And it included Janie, the mercenary who was introduced in the last book. If I think about it too hard it really makes Quinn's feelings seem pretty fickle considering he was declaring his love for Sarah only two weeks ago in book time but these books aren't meant for serious thinking. They are simple, comical, escapist fun.

I'm giving up at 100 pages, I'm still counting it towards my reading goal because I feel I earned it after sticking with it that far. Like the series alright, not my favorite, but its okay. This book is a departure from the main couple and focuses on Quinn and Janie two characters that I didn't much care for in the previous books. The characters just aren't that likable and the story doesn't seem to be moving very fast. The next book returns to the previous characters being the focus again. If it doesn't get any better it might be the last one I read by this author.
