Sunny’s sister has convinced her to join her at a goth club little did Sunny know that the guy flirting with her really was a vampire. Or that his bite would start the transformation into becoming a vampire was meant for her sister. Not only does Sunny have to worry about becoming a but there is also a vampire slayer out there who could be after her. At least Bertha the slayer has seen better days so she should be able to avoid her.

The only chance to change Sunny back into a human is to drink from the holy grail which happens to be in England. While Sunny may not be on the up when it comes to vampire her twin sister is having a blog all about it. At school at last Sunny has drawn the attention her long time crush he even asks her to prom. Now I only they can find the cup and get back to town before Prom.

I like Sunny a lot while more than I do her twin sister, but maybe that’s because her sister doesn’t have a big role in this book. I like that even though Sunny is tossed into the supernatural world she handles it well accepting her fate and dashing off with a strange vampire to stop the transition. I like Magnus when we learned the truth behind how long he’s waited for a blood mate my heart went out to him. I also like the way things worked out for both of them.

I’ve had Boys that Bite on my kindle for so long I forgot that it was even on it. I’ve been craving a YA vampire novel so I decided to give it a shot and wasn’t disappointed. While the vampire concept isn’t original the author has added her own unique spin creating a captivating paranormal romance. I really loved the characters I found Sunny easy to connect with after all she’s just like I was back in the day as a teen. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author so I knew I would love her writing style which I did. I love all the pop culture references scattered throughout the book. A fast paced action packed whirlwind adventure that I found hard to put down. I enjoyed every moment of Boys that Bite it’s a beautifully written story. I look forward to reading the rest of the series the next one is on my kindle.

What I Loved: This was a fun quick read that sort of reminded me of a Buffy The Vampire Slayer episode--except no real slayage unless you count Bertha! Magnus is the perfect guy for Sunny even though he is a vampire and their quipping is fun to read. I giggled more than a few times during this book.

What I Liked: Rayne--though she was not in the book enough for me probably because I liked her more than Sunny. The blog entry at the end has me thinking the next book is about her though so I am excited!

Complaints: As much as I loved the quippy banter at points it does get a little much. That being said the book was fun to read and filled that "escape to a different place" thing really well.

Why I gave it a 3: I really enjoyed this fun book. Anything that can make me giggle out loud is worth it to me.

Who would I recommend it too: Actually fans of Light Paranormal YA and the quippy sort of banter would enjoy this book. I really haven't read to many light YA books and I think this fills that gap perfectly.

This book was horrible. The main character was annoying, rude, selfish and ungrateful. She was disdainful towards the man the she claimed to have loved in the end. Ugh. It was absolute rubbish. The character was too naive and stupid for my liking. She made "her love" spend a million pounds (too cliche of a number if you ask me) and fly her to England just to idiotically come to the conclusion, in which EVERYONE KNEW, that she was very much in love with the guy. The character showed immense egocentrism to the point where (sorry kids, but I have to) she was worse than Regina George in Mean Girls; at least Regina understood that she was being a little brat whereas this one wasn't even the least bit aware. I very much do not recommend this book to anyone.

This book. I don't even know where to begin. For such an annoying book, I had trouble putting it down. Have you ever had a book that you couldn't really stand yet you just needed to know what happened? That was this book for me and I need to know what happens in the rest of the series but I dread reading the books! It's not that the writing is bad, it isn't but it felt like I was reading something a 16 year old wrote. And don't get me started on the protagonist, Not to mention the insta love that bloomed out of nowhere at the end of the book and all based on compatible DNA?! *shakes head*

Ireally hope the rest of the series is better because as much as I need to know what happens, I'm not sure I can handle much more of whatever that was.

Really great. I love reading vampire books, but when you add twins and mix ups, you get awesomness. Its really awesome and amazing and just yay! The rest of the series gets insane to the point of just stop. But this book was awesome.

A comedy but...not very good. It seems like it is making fun of stereotypes while being one itself. It was funny in parts though, but the story was bad.

Though it's not the most original, or even best written book about vampires, I truly enjoy the novelty of a perky cheerleader accidentally being transformed. This book is quite a laugh. I love it!
