This is the latest book in the Black Light Roulette series and while it helps if you've read at least some of the previous books, it isn't essential as all of the individual stories in the compilation can be enjoyed standalone. I found myself uncertain of how many stars to provide this book because while there are things that I absolutely loved about it, there are also things that I didn't. I'll start with the good.
For me, the standout reads were Pierced by Raisa Greywood, Butterfly by Ann Mayburn and Forbidden by Sinistre Ange. I found the connection between the characters in these three stories to be fantastic, the situations the couples find themselves in was just great with some that I've not read of before, and the writing drew me in from the start. This was also the first I've read from Ann Mayburn, so I loved finding a new author. I hope that with such a good start, we get full novels with these characters.
Now for the bad. I found the first half of the book fairly boring. Yes, the writing was good. Yes, the characters and situations were well crafted. But it all felt just a bit same-same and formulaic. I felt that it could all have just been the same story with just different character names. Things did pick up in the second half and while I didn't always particularly like some of the kinks or characters then at least the stories were more original. I was also really disappointed that it was only Black Light West. The title of the book is Rematch. How can you have a rematch with only one team?
Overall, I did enjoy this compilation but admit it helps that my favourites were more towards the end, but I don't think that this was the best Black Light Roulette book.

The latest addition to the Black Light series is an exciting one. I'll admit I've not read all the books prior to this one and yet, I never feel lost when I pick one up to read, and always thoroughly enjoy myself. I came to the party for Jennifer Bene and Sinistre Ange but I'm happy to say I stayed for everyone! The stories were delightfully wicked and exciting, and the building of story across each authors section is always fun to watch. It made the suspense of who would win the battle this year between Black Light East and West very exciting to experience. I don't want to spoil anything but if you're a fan of any of these authors or just enjoy a good bdsm romp, then this book will definitely be for you.
