Incredible art and story. Very reminiscent of the experimental era of Disney animated movies. I absolutely loved it.

This was fine and I am sure it will appeal to middle grade students (especially those interested in flight and STEM), but the art and dialog was a bit overwhelming. Also the romance was unnecessary.

It's frustrating. I like the art, I like the concept, I like the world, but something just went wrong with the execution. I want to say maybe the dialogue just clashes with the art style, but I'm not sure that's the issue. Something just isn't doing it for me, which is a shame because it is so pretty.

Another Blue Hen Nomination for work. This book is gorgeous! The artwork is absolutely amazing and so expressive. I love this book and the story. I do however wish that the font was bigger. I felt like they made the font small to add more space for the illustrations, but it made reading the story a little difficult overall. Still, the story was phenomenal.

The art was really what drew me to this book but occasionally it got a bit muddled for me and I couldn't tell what was going on. Add that to a kinda odd storyline with a time jump and I was fairly lost. But the art was just absolutely stunning and every page was so well done. I did like the ending along with Amelia's character growth.

Overall, a solid graphic novel for any adventurous middle schooler.

Beautiful design, but tricky to read through the watercolor aesthetic. An interesting ending tho!

A beautifully illustrated heartfelt adventure story that left me wanting to see more of the world where it takes place. I especially loved the visual interest on the pages that went deep into detail about the mechanics of the airship--so much to look at and so many cute little hidden moments within the details. The watercolor style is refreshing and luscious to look at.

I was really taken by these illustrations. They were so lively and moved beautifully throughout the story. While the story started out strong (it felt like Treasure Planet meets the Amulet series), there was something missing and it just didn’t have as much substance as I wanted.
