Interesting backstory to the current Black Panther Run. The complex dance between a love of country and a love of a countries ruler.

Awesome comic! I have to read more back and current issues of Black Panther but I really enjoyed this one.

I never sat down a read a comic book but I’m beyond thrilled I took the time out to read this one. I loved the characters and I loved the love story in the mist of it all. I will definitely be picking up more comic books in the future.

It's hard to believe what a good job of writing a multi-issue comic book story Roxanne Gay does for her first time. Beautiful black women loving women and facing fears while in nationalistic warrior roles: hell yes, I'm here for this.

This is a great little taster for anyone wanting to get into Black Panther comics as we get to see Wakanda outside of the big events-stories through Aneka and Ayo's eyes. I'd highly recommend reading Ta-Nehisi Coates' run of Black Panther after reading this!

I’m not usually a comic book person but this was really cool! Diving deeper into the world of Wakanda, an extremely lush and fascinating setting in Marvel’s Black Panther, was a joy. The all women warrior group that protects the Wakandan royal family is so cool, and seeing a burgeoning love story between two of them was awesome. Also addressing the political unrest in Wakanda while Black Panther is off with the avengers is an interesting take.
