The second book of "Sherlock Bones" starts where the first one ended. Well, in a way....

Again, it is told from the point of view of Dr. Catson, whom is a sarcastic, yet funny character, which makes the writing fun to read.
This time we finally get the "behind the crime" details of the crime committed in the first book. Sherlock Bones, who of course already knows all the details, starts telling the story to Catson and the gang (the pups and Mr. Javier).
I really enjoyed this book, more than the first one. While the first book left things open and thus seemed incomplete, the second binds up the story nicely. Although there is no real action (Bones and the others mainly sit around, talking), it's full of details, and emotions. All of this is perfectly shown through the "story in the story".
I especially loved the emotions and feelings the "minor characters" (the pups and Mr. Javier) showed. It gave them a new depth, which puts them closer to your heart.

All in all, I really enjoyed this book, and hope to read the next installment in this series.

I got a free copy from the publisher for a review.
