Another fun story from Ruby, I appreciated the struggles of Ashley and also Ruby's explanation afterwards. Makes total sense. I appreciate the insight to a hearing impaired world.

Ash struggles to hear and feels there might be horrible things that happen to her if people find out so she fakes it and hides from others. No one realizes her trauma until Khex takes the hint to see what it going on. He was great, if a big chicken. 6 months as "friends"?? Certainly not "Insta" this time.

Ash and Khex- my favorite part was the messages by translator- hilarious. Again, Ruby finds a way to make these stories just a little but more unique than others.

i was not expecting this to be friends to lovers, but i enjoyed it! i did expect a little bit more from it though bc i have heard such great things. i think i would have been more emotionally attached to it if it was longer

be still, my friends-to-lovers heart.

the last of the risda books (so far?) is one of my favorites, i think.
this book was so, so, so painfully cute, my face hurt from smiling. we get enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, which is the best of both worlds, we get A DATE!!! on an alien planet! we get POORLY TRANSLATED E-MAILS, we get ANGST AND PRESUMED UNREQUITED YEARNING, and we get a hard-of-hearing FMC
