I read an article written by Sedaris in The New Yorker and was hooked by his style and morbid humour. I think the article was probably the right length for me.

This is a strong collection and totally consistent with Sedaris's voice, even as he ages, matures, and grows as a storyteller. There were many essays I'd heard before at various live readings, and it was great to hear them again -- it was like visiting an old friend. And that's actually what it's always like listening to a David Sedaris audiobook.
