The second of the two Power Man miniseries, this one expands on the first by building on the relationship between Victor and Iron Fist. I wish we'd gotten to see more of Victor's family in this story, but the story's fun and engaging enough without it. Alves' art has a great, slightly murky quality to it, and Van Lente's writing crackles. The red herring about Noir's secret identity was a little obnoxious, but forgivable in the end.

It was interesting to see Danny Rand step us as a mentor figure. I liked the change in dynamic between him and the new Power Man, Victor Alvarez. It was also cool to have Luke Cage show up for a bit. I would have continued on with this series if there were more.
I had the chance to interview Fred van Lente, the co-creator of the Victor Alvarez Power Man, over on the All the Books Show. https://soundcloud.com/allthebooks/off-the-books-interview-with-fred-van-lente
