Do you ever hear a song and think of a book or vice versa? Once we meet Virgina, my head kept singing the song "Meet Virginia" by Train. I'm not saying it makes any sense but it just needed to be said.

Meeting Virginia was enough to knock Hardy off his path onto a road he had never traveled before. Looking out for signs didn't help. He's so completely in uncharted territory.

Though Hardy is smart enough to realize he's in trouble, he still can't figure out his next move. Come along and see if this story ends with a beginning or an end. No rewriting necessary- just ask Barry, but bring some Bourbon.

4 *I love Hardy Richard* stars!! <3
Very few authors in the romance genre manage to get the male protagonist's voice and POV right. And very fewer have books completely written in the male character's POV alone.I loved that S.L.Scott managed to nail it!
Ladies, meet Hardy your new book boyfriend! Bartender, playboy and an expert when it comes to women. ;)
He's always down for a good time, unapologetically honest and sexy as hell.No women has managed to tie him down and he's had two rules.Dont get close and don't fall in love. But, when Virginia enters his bar and his life, both the rules are thrown out of the window.
There's just something about V that reels him in.She is confident yet vulnerable, sexy and unsure! But, she wants him to teach her how to land a guy! What's a guy to do when the woman he is falling for wants you only for lessons?Or does she?

Lol!I loved Hardy's voice from beginning to end!Even though in the beginning we're told he is a manwhore, he isn't overbearing, rude or controlling. He is super sweet and just perfect!!His interactions with V and their chemistry was amazing!I loved how he slowly fell for her, tried to deny it in the beginning but then he owned it! :D No running away like a coward.
Both V and Hardy were witty and sarcastic. The exchanges between them were really well done. And though it's a little bit insta-love-ish in the beginning, it doesn't feel rushed. The development and slow progression of their relationship could be witnessed.Hardy' friends and parents were also amazing and added a lot of humor to the story!
I just wish we could have seen little glimpses into V's head at times. But then that would have spoiled the enjoyment of the book.It was so funny to see Hardy guessing at her feelings!
Maybe we could have a companion novel from V's POV?That would be awesome!*wishes for it*
This book had the perfect mix of humor, romance, steam and emotion in it!!Just perfect!!

I was so incredibly happy to read S.L. Scott's newest release!!! It seems fitting that I started 2016 while reading my first book of hers, and now I'm closing out 2016 with another one of hers. It doesn't feel like I've only known her and her books for only a year.

Drunk on Love became one of my favorites of hers. It was a CUTE and SENSUAL romantic comedy that was unlike anything I've read by S.L. It made me laugh-out-loud too many times to count. Virginia and Hardy were so adorable together that you couldn't help but root for them. There were other characters too that I'm hoping S.L. will eventually write their story.

Here's to reading more by S.L. in 2017!!!

This was a very fun read! The main character’s name is Hardy Richard (I have a hard time not thinking of Dick when I see the name Richard. However, in a completely non-sexual way! Seriously! My uncle’s name is Richard but we all called him Uncle Dick.) He is the owner of a bar where the motto is: “The customer is always right, they always come, and they always come back.” The combination of name and business moto had me laughing and hooked right away.

This was such a fun, light, and easy read. Just what I needed during such a crazy, busy, and a bit stressful holiday season. Hardy and Virginia were perfect opposites of each other. They were so likable straight from the beginning. Their romance was sweet straight from the start. The attraction is mutual straight from the get go. However, things heat up quickly and they can’t seem to stop thinking about one another.

This story revolves around laughter, friendship, and most importantly love. I’m starting to love, more and more, books written solely in the male POV. I loved getting in Hardy’s head. And BOY is Hardy swoon-worthy?! He’s definitely on my ever-growing list of book boyfriends!

This was my first S.L. Scott book but I can assure you it won’t be my last. If you like as story that is sweet yet steamy, with a touch of angst this one is for you!

sweet and simple love story, just how I like them.

Hardy Richard is the owner and bartender at Hardy's Hideaway! People come for the cocktails and because of the cock tales. Don't misunderstand the men who work there are not bodies for hire, but if by the end of the night they end up with one of their customers, it wouldn't be the first time. Hardy has two rules; don't get too close, don't fall in love. He has a bit of a past that gave him those rules, and so far he's been able to follow them. That is until a certain brunette makes her way into his bar, looking for a cock tale of her own.

All I know is that I absolutely LOVED Hardy and Virginia's love story. It was pretty low angst, and I really felt their connection. This story is told from Hardy's POV, and Scott wrote him so well. Hardy Richard has definitely scored a permanent spot on my book boyfriend list. The banter between this couple was not only funny and sweet, it was natural. It wasn't forced or over the top at all. It was simple and sweet, sort of like both of these characters. An absolutely testament to how great of a writer this author is! Hardy is a bit of a playboy not in the sense that he's a player, just that he gets a lot of action because of his reputation. The women actually know the score though, and go along with it. He loves his life and he lives it to the fullest, because not too long ago he was living a life he didn't love so much.

This read is funny, sweet, and has plenty of naughty bits. Hardy is so swoony, that I wish there was more of him. I really enjoyed Virginia has well. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a swoony male MC, and a sweet romance as well. Highly recommend!

As a dude, who's not a hairdresser, I know too much about women's hair. But in my line of work, it's a bonus...No matter what their hairstyle, the one thing all women have in common is sex. Yup, sex. You might say that sounds trite, even obvious, but it's true. There's a basic need, a desire that the right cocktail with the right opportunity at the right time can release, making the most put together woman come undone.

So says Hardy Richard, owner and proprietor of Hardy's Hideaway, a gem of a bar that caters chiefly to, well, women and their needs. Hardy and his cadre of hard-working, handsome, and, oh, so, helpful barmen make the Hideaway one of the most popular and sought-after watering holes that you never knew was there. And is just what brings in the woman in search of a Gimlet, and maybe some more, that will rock Hardy's world in ways that he never anticipated.

It is no secret that I am a big fan of author S.L. Scott. After all, Jack Dalton of the Resistance is still one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. Suzie has a way of writing from the heart, of spinning a tale that draws me in from the first page and keeps me hooked all the way through. DRUNK ON LOVE, her latest, is a fine example of her ability to create a story that I can escape into, and emerge feeling absolutely, well, love-drunk.

I'm going to say right up front that Hardy is, without a doubt, my favorite of Suzie's men since my Jack. He is completely self-aware, living life completely on his terms, and doing it with gusto. He knows exactly what people are looking for when they come to the Hideaway, and is more than happy to meet their needs.

They're all here for the same reasons...The Hideaway is happy to provide both. Our customers are left satisfied because we're more than just bartenders. We're therapists. We're life coaches. We're teachers. We're lovers. We're sexual healers. Here, under the dim lights, we're gods. My team is gifted, leaving our patrons smiling and wanting more...Our motto is threefold. The customer is always right, they always come, and they always come back. Goals we strive for night after night.

When Gimlet Girl shows us, Hardy is intrigued. Happy to help her with whatever she's looking for, he's more than a little surprised to find that she's more of a Paloma girl after all. And once he's had a taste of her, he's the one wanting more. For a guy that doesn't do relationships, Hardy is all in, which takes him a bit out of his comfort zone. But the best thing about Hardy? He's not a quitter, and watching him change only makes him that much more endearing and, yes, hot. I think that he surprises himself with the lengths that he'll go to to get the girl, and his story had me devouring this book like it was my favorite adult beverage (margarita, heavy on the top shelf tequila, if you want to know...).

I'm hoping that DRUNK ON LOVE is the beginning of a new series, honestly, because I would love to see so much more of these folks. While the rest of the guys will never top Hardy in my heart, they are a bunch that bear getting to know. So, Suzie, if you're reading this, MORE of the Hideaway, pretty please! In the meantime, 5+ tipsy, topsy-turvy, man of my dreams stars for this book. Totally one of my favorite reads of 2016, and a great one for your TBR. I guarantee, you will LOVE this read, so grab it and go. You're welcome. <3
