Another really great installment in the Between series! The last book ended with a devastating plot twist and this book kind of deals a little with that, while answering more questions and going back to the question of the Heirling Trials.

The thing that makes this series so enjoyable is really Pet's relationships with the psychos, and this book is no different. I loved Pet's developing relationships with Zero and JinYeong, and I like how her feelings for them have began to be differentiated.

Ending was another plot twist and I'm so excited for the last book.

Binged this series in 2023. A pleasant wind down from busy days. Enjoyed the audio version. The narrator grew on me.

Normally, I stay up the night of release to read the books in this series. I didn't this time, not because I wasn't exited about the story, but because I had just finished reading a friend's vampire story, and there is only so much vampire I can handle in close succession (I think Pet would agree with me... at least up to this point in the story).

However, once I did pick this up, I once again stayed up way later than I should have, eagerly waiting for each of the vampire's appearance's (and I'm at least willing to admit that his presence made me happier).

A lot of character's from the previous books have gathered in this one, all of them battling not just for their lives, but also for their loved ones, and their own emotional sanity. I love seeing the growth in each of these characters, as well as the fruition of a few of my predictions.

I know that the end of this series is looming, and I will genuinely be devastated when it comes. But I will also be so happy to see all these characters come out on the other side of their struggles.

I was extremely excited for this book. Not gonna lie, a little nervous, too. The previous one had some jaw-dropping and heartbreaking moments, so I was incredibly curious about what would happen next, and how they'd handle the fallout.

Between Family was great. It was exciting at every turn; I never knew what was coming next. No real shocker there, though. Every book has been a weirdly wonderful and surprising adventure. And with this being the penultimate book in the series, I expected some big things to happen. And, oh boy, do they! Some exciting, others worrisome. And that ending! Why?! I need the next book ASAP! If you're a fan of urban fantasy, don't miss out on this fantastic series.

“You have a talent for becoming precious to people, it would seem—and now the people who are most precious to you will die.”

The second to last book in the Between series and oh man it’s so good.

I just have to say I was right.

Miiiiiight just be my favorite (so far) from the last half of the series! Action-packed, lots of team-up to win, all around feelings, etc hahahaha
Spoiler also yes, I felt extremely vindicated that my guesses about Zero and Pet being related were right, because how could they have NOT been after all the foreshadowing, yikes
Can't wait to see how this series ends AAAAAAAAAA
