Note, because I failed to, this is a short story. If I had known that going in, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.
As it is, enjoyable characters, a fun setting, satisfying ending. I would love to see this in a longer form! Doesnt hurt that the cover is gorgeous, either.

About the only thing I didn't like about this story was the length - it wasn't nearly long enough. Otherwise, it was a delightful little read and very nearly perfect. 4.5 stars

Great little read. Loved Jamie and Tad's relationship, and Jamie's voice was hilarious. It would have been great were it a bit longer though- I could read more of them! It meant there wasn't that much room to flesh out Captain Superior and Terrorantula, although both had their moments.

Fun!
This is a short, fun book. The writing is easy and the characters are likable. I really like Jamie and his casual attitude toward the things that come with working with superheroes - like hero helplines and kidnappings. Tad is likable too, and you hurt for him and the terrible things he's experienced. I like that events have an affect on Captain Superior too, though of course that isn't the focus. I can see where the author could have expanded this into a full novel, but what we do get is satisfactory.

I was super excited when I started reading this because it actually gave me a bit of a Skulduggery vibe with the humour and the writing and whatnot. But then idk.. it kinda lost me. I was expecting a dumb, fluffy read, and then all I was given is relationship drama. Yaaaaaawn. I'm glad it was only like 50-something pages, because if it were any longer, I would've probs dnf'd it.
