Excellent reimagining of Wonder Woman's twin sister, Nubia. I think McKinney does a phenomenal job laying out the context of BLM and specifically applying it to Nubia and those around her. I love these characters.

When I saw L.L McKinney's name attached to this I just knew that I had to pick it up and wow I adored this! This is one of the first superhero stories where I felt a deep connection to the protagonist as McKinney really explored Nubia as a character and her rise to her power which was fascinating, fun and awe-inspiring. The protests Nubia attends and the racism that she and her friends face was explored in such a meaningful way and I'm so glad young Black girls get to have this story so that they have another powerful role-model to inspire them!
