If you're someone who has lived through the Covid pandemic and are exhausted of hearing about it and the events that happened surrounding that period, you may not want to read this book unless you're able to separate that from the story. The way some of the characters were stereotyped came off as though the author has a "white savior" mentality. There's nothing worth getting angry over really, just expect yourself to be eye-rolling often.
That being said, the story itself without all that is really good and I enjoyed reading it. I like how you get a view from different perspectives and are able to see exactly what happened as it happened, so to the reader there isn't really any mystery. And yet watching the characters going through the process of figuring out what we already know as the reader is still quite satisfying. There were points that seemed unrealistic to the point of being a little silly, especially toward the end, but overall really good read. Just wish that the pandemic and politics weren't such a major focus.

DNF @58 pages.
The COVID pandemic is front and center in this - it’s all vaccines, masks, testing, trump etc and I don’t understand what it’s got to do with story at all - I think the author is just wanting to have his say on antivaxxers etc and I could not care less
