I loved and adored every single second of this. It's an absolutely PERFECT follow-up to the first book, expertly combining humour, angst, and tenderness. Monty and Percy have my entire heart and I would read infinite books about them and I am honestly just a mess every time I think about them. If you loved the first book - and particularly if you LOVE them both of as characters and loved the development of their relationship - then I absolutely cannot recommend this one enough.

this was an entertaining disaster and i mean that in a not derogatory way. it was awkward and uncomfortable, yet honest and heartwarming. a lovely short fluffy read to get me through the evening of a less than stellar day! and also a great introduction to the characters - i haven’t read the first novel in the series, but i feel like i already know the characters and their backgrounds from the 113 pages i read here, and that gets me really excited to go back and actually indulge in the series one day.

A cute follow up and side story to the first book in the series. I accidentally read this before book one because I wasn’t aware it was part of a series. Can confidently say that this book can play as a stand alone that doesn’t leave you confused without the context of the first book.

I enjoyed the characters and the little details of their journey so far so much that I looked around hoping for a continuation. Was surprised by a series and immediately picked up book one.

Might pick this book back up again for a quick read now having read the first one.
