I think this is good research put into a nice, friendly form. I knew nothing of Wonder Woman or her creator, so maybe that's why I think this was so good and eye-opening. Either way, it's been a fun ride, I loved all the visual support that was constantly scattered through the book - it really impacts you harder when you can actually see family photos and comics strips long forgotten.
I also think I now know some more about the feminism movement as a whole and how women were viewed in society back in the last century. It was a little bit terrifying and outraging, but also very interesting, and again, eye-opening.
All in one, it was exactly what I was hoping for and needed.

A great read, though not so much about Wonder Woman or the history of comics as the history of feminism and Wonder Woman's eccentric creator, William Marston. Definitely recommended, if only for descriptions of the combination of sexual escapades and radicalism which gave birth to everyone's favorite Amazon.

I wanted to like this more than I did, but it was blander than I expected and Marston is too obnoxious for me to hear about for nine hours.

Really fascinating read. Knew a bit through the film , yet, this novel explained more in depth how Wonder Woman came about and the story of the man who created it. It is interesting to see that fiction can have a bit of truth to is as well as everyone can be censored for what they write, speak or believe in.
