Beau's writing is lovely to read. Based on the title and premise, I didn't think the content of this book would be quite so focused on his reflection of romantic relationships. Nevertheless, he writes well.

I don't think it's possible for me not to love Beau Taplin's words. Everything is just so good. I enjoyed the long, prose-style pieces in this collection, and as always, each piece is beautiful. Reading back from a newer collection, I can see that this is a bit less polished, but still gorgeous work.

I've always enjoyed reading Beau's work online via his social channels, but reading this book from cover to cover was a completely different experience. From the forward to the departing note, I found myself floating on his words, completely lifted on the beauty and clarity they bring. I love the message in this book, that there is a light that comes from all the dark times in our lives, and it was especially impressive to me how many topics were covered in these pages. From life and loss to love and friendship, Beau will break and heal your heart and leave you with a simmering peace sure to linger. One thing I know for sure, Beau has a lifetime fan in me, and I will read any and everything he writes. <3
