I was sure I would enjoy this book, but was delighted at how engrossing and compelling it was from the first page to the last. Every essay offers a glimpse into a different life or moment in time and, as you move from one to the next, you slowly piece together the tiniest pieces of nine extraordinary women. All of them feel like people I am just getting to know and want to know so much better.
I cannot wait to read more of their work (individually or collectively).
