It is a quick and easy read. It shows three major points in Knulp's life, and how his attitude changes over time. I love his philosophical musings. He was seen as unworthy, but he always gave people comfort which makes him a likable character. It's a good self-reflecting book and it was easy to follow along.

Ce fut une lecture intéressante, un peu philosophique, mais Knulp n'est pas mon roman préféré d'Hermann Hesse. Tour à tour, on comprend le personnage principal, puis on ne le suit plus, c'est dur de dire si je l'ai aimé ou pas. Le roman se termine avec un dialogue entre Knulp et Dieu, je n'étais pas préparée à ça.
