Boy meets girl with a twist of mental health, drugs and complicated family dynamics. Jack's unreliable narrative had me second guessing my assumptions andntrying to work out what could happen next.
The book was slow to start and purposefully not telling the reader everything, but as the tension increased, so did the pace. The ending was slightly predictable but still well written and I even felt a bit teary.
Some of the situations such as the teenage drug use all the time, and stealing the TV seemed a little bit over exaggerated and unlikley, but they didn't detract from the overall story.
The depictions of mental health and its impact of families was excellent.
