Rust and Ruin! I made the mistake of casually starting this book’s sanderlanche in the middle of dinner. Immediately dropped all my plans and didn’t stop reading until I finished- worth it! There were many familiar tropes within this book, but with a fantastic Sanderson flair that made it feel exhilarating. I love how the magic system intermingles with technological advancement. Each book in the Wax & Wayne series keeps building my anticipation as the stakes keep getting higher. I’ve become quite fond of all of the main characters….

Great read! Starts making Mistborn Era 2 feel more like an “epic” and the “Sanderlanch” at the end is excellent! I enjoyed this more than the first two books in Era 2.

I have taken a while to read this book but I will blame it on work. That being said I found that I wasn’t as drawn to this book as I was to the previous entries in the series . Whether or not me starting a new job has sapped at my desire to read at home, or the book just wasn’t as good I do not know. The characters still do remain as the standouts. The world also expands in a very major way, I am not sure if so much of it was meant to be shrouded in mystery or I just didn’t comprehend most of it (I wouldn’t put it past myself).
