The world building here finally feels like it’s matured, and is finally feeling like it’s paying off. Does Sanderson know that he can just skip to the good parts? It remains to be seen.
Also, thank god, I have finally read a Sanderson book with a believable romantic relationship.

Probably the best out of the three Mistborn Era 2 books so far, though there wasn't really anything here that blew me away. Lots of lore and expanding the world, which was interesting, but no twists that floored me like the original Mistborn trilogy was full of.
I felt like there was less banter between Wax and Wayne in this one unfortunately, though there were some great moments that made up for that.
The best part of this book (by far) was Steris. I really love what Sanderson did with her entire character. Pretty much every scene with her was fantastic, and she's now my second favorite character (after, of course, Wayne).

Always so good! Made me laugh out loud so many times. And Melaan had me dying! So sad that it's over with all these characters
In true Brandon Sanderson style, this was 3 stars up until the epic end! I’m definitely enjoying the Cosmere but it’s starting to feel like quite a chore.
I really did enjoy Mistborn Era 2 though. I love the magic system and the introduction of more technology made the story really interesting to follow along.

I was caught off guard by most of it, always a new unexpected turn but everything made sense, the only thing I half expected was the prologue reveal, it was the only thing that made sense to me. Still an incredible story and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. It’s also good to see technology and magic start to combine together!
