Feels like Indiana Jones inspired in the best way. The most fun book of Mistborn era 2 and the best world building/expanding. The Southern Scadrial addition is great, both in terms of character's, magic, and worldbuilding complexity, and also makes sense as a logical development from decisions made in era 1. The bands of mourning themselves were a fun Mcguffin that naturally flowed from era 1, and the ending and hints to the bigger cosmere action brewing were tantalizingly good.
