This is a fascinating account of how the Progressives tried to end child labor. I had not read about this topic before.

I found this to be fascinating, and it was really accessible to middle school students. A great companion to the Lyddie unit for grade 7 (Common Core Modules) or any unit of labor rights, industrial revolution, progressive era, etc.
