This fractured fairy tales collection takes a noir bent, with Detective Binky playing the lead investigator. Cute, but I think the gimmick was lost on my kids.

Fun hard-boiled detective version of several major nursery rhymes/fairy tales.

Some of the best know fairy tales are "solved" by Officer Binky, the frog. Would be a great addition to a fractured fairy tale unit.

For kids who will watch Hoodwinked over and over, more fractured fairy tales, hard-boiled.

This is a hilarious twist on your normal fairy tales to make them mysteries.

Officer Binky is on the case: solving nursery rhyme crimes. Who pushed Humpty Dumpty? Who invaded the Bear family's home?
In a funny detective motiff that children & parents will all enjoy.

Was hoping for a bit more fractured-fairytale humor but this would be a good read-aloud (especially for parents looking for "good" books to read to their children's class at school). Also...the illustrations (especially those of humans) creeped me out. Sorry, Nickle.

I thought this was ok. A little too dark for a picture book in my opinion. I found the text to be a bit disjointed as well.
