Really lovely language, a mystical historical short novella. I’d love to read a longer work from this author.

The Harvest Moon (Darkly Enchanted Romance #1), by Joshua Ian
★★★★★
60 Pages
POV: 3rd person, single character POV
O.M.G. This was BEAUTIFUL!
I'll admit, I absolutely chose this for the cover and the title. Once I saw those, I completely ignored my hectic schedule and signed up to read/review this. And I'm so glad that I did!
The Harvest Moon is a sweeping romance that took my breath away. With heart, mystery and characters that tug your heart strings, it doesn't fail to capture an evocative and gothic atmosphere inside the dome of a romantic web. It is, at once, real, stunning, and heartbreaking; taking you on a journey from hopeful wistfulness to shuddering loss and betrayal. It combines a breathtaking romance with an enticing mystery, and leaves you wanting more.
The story swept me away from page one. I normally write a mountain of notes and thoughts as I'm reading, but I just didn't stop once I started. I barely breathed! There was heat, intensity, love, romance, and mystery all woven into so few pages! I couldn't believe the detail, the time and effort that went into the writing, the evocative scenery, the plotting, the pacing that all went into making this such a beautiful, engaging story in so few pages.
Not only can I not wait for the next installment, but I seriously hope the author puts them all together into a single paperback volume, because I want to own this in paperback for constant re-reading.

““Love, dear Malky,” he said, his voice barely a whisper. “Has been all I ever sought.”

A supernatural tale of dangers in the woods.
Malcolm stops in an idyllic village but all is not as it seems, as we see at the end of the story.
Mystical goings on come to light for Malcolm after spending a night with Daniel.
