I feel like I keep giving too many books five stars, but this really deserves it. This is a great book for any older kid. I have only heard of two of the places in here, that being Sealand and Easter Island. Other than that, I didn't know anything. I even learned about things in my home state of Texas that I didn't know about. I'm really glad I read this. Get this book for every kid you know!!

Great information, but my kids were not interested in the cutesy graphic art - actual photographs of these fascinating places would have been much more compelling.

The description really says it all. It's an atlas of places where there's wonder of the world or where something really memorable happens. The illustration and all the concept is really childish so there s not much interest in ti for adult reader, but for a younger public, maybe kids around 10-12, can find it could to explore the world this way. It bring general culture, geography and history in a good and easy way. Overall... well done!

This book is so fun! It reawakened the adventurous spirit in me and I'm actually considering going to a few of these places in real life now! (Especially the 10,000 year clock. I can't wait for that to be finished!)
